How does the course work?
Complete the 9 weeks of this course at your own pace. A commitment of one module per week would be ideal, as it would give you a sense of continuous progress and a reasonable time frame to discern your calling. Each module includes: approximately 20-30 minutes of lecture/discussion, expert interviews, and excerpts of videos; THE BLUEPRINT guidebook filled with questions for reflection/discussion; and the relevant chapter from Dr. Park’s book Calling for each module.
The Goal:
THE BLUEPRINT is a 9-week online course on defining, discerning & deploying one’s calling—offered through The Renaissance (TheRen.org). Through this course, we aim to help people find their calling, form their character, and forge a culture of truth, goodness, and beauty.
Your Instructor
RICHARD S. PARK (DPhil, Oxford) is assistant professor of theology and ethics at Vanguard University. He is also the founder and president of The Renaissance Group, a nonprofit organization aimed at helping people find their life’s calling. He has several publications, including, Constructing Civility, published by the University of Notre Dame Press. Dr. Park has spoken in countries around the world including Australia, Canada, England, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, and throughout the United States. He is deeply passionate about connecting calling, culture, and character. Dr. Park completed his doctorate in Muslim-Christian relations at the University of Oxford. A southern Californian native, Dr. Park lives with his wife in Orange County, California.
